It is 3\/8\" wide and the sides are tapered from top to bottom\n at approximately 3°.  The cutting edge bevels from top to bottom.  (It is used bevel side down).\n  \u003c\/p\u003e\n  \u003cp\u003e\n   The Bedan excels at creating convex beads and steps on spindle work and forming tenons or chucking recesses\n on bowl work. It is also very good for plunge hollowing cuts in boxes and small bowls. The tapered sides help\n prevent the tool from binding in tight cuts.\n  \u003c\/p\u003e\n  \u003cp\u003e\n   If you're new to woodturning, our Bodger woodturning tools are a great entry level tool for woodturners\n starting out.
