If you're not getting that sort of performance from your plane, or if you do, but only sometimes, this hands-on-class will get you there.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe class is divided into three parts: in part one, you'll get your handplane tuned up to run true. The second part is sharpening, and Jim will teach you how to sharpen with a wet wheel or with Japanese waterstones. In the last part of the class, you'll get individual coaching as you make actual shavings with your own plane. Jim will also demonstrate basic dimensioning and surfacing techniques and the use of a shooting board.
