A variety \nof optional jaw sizes gives this large chuck a wide grip range; holding round or square tenons from just 3\/8\" (with Spigot Jaws) to 14\"\n diameter with Maga Jumbo Jaws.  The standard #2 profile jaws the Stronghold chuck comes with have an external capacity of 2\" to 3-1\/2\"\n and an internal capacity of 2-5\/8\" to 4-1\/8\".  It also includes a 1\/2\" x 1-1\/4\" Woodworm Screw, whose deep, sharp threads \u0026amp; tapered\n nose are bite and hold exceptionally well.  The Woodworm screw installs easily and securely into the chuck.\u003c\/p\u003e\n \n\u003cp\u003e The Stronghold chuck uses a large T-handled single chuck key to move the jaws in and out.  The chuck key lets you single-handedly\n tighten and loosen the jaws so your other hand is free to support and hold the stock.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe Stronghold Chuck is the largest chuck Oneway makes.  Its size makes it a good partner for larger lathes.  The body of the chuck\n is 4-1\/2\" in diameter and weighs 6.75 lbs.  Threaded taper-lock mounting adapters, available to fit a wide variety of lathes, center\n themselves perfectly in the chuck body, which can then be screwed onto your lathe's spindle nose.  An adapter is required for the chuck.\nExtra adapters offer a very economical way to use the same chuck on every lathe you own.
