Narex has crafted an exceptional line of cabinetmaker's beveled edge chisels for woodworkers. The Richter line of chisels is so named after Narex's founder - Vaclav Richter - in celebration of the one hundredth anniversary of the company.

Now joining their excellent Richter Bevel Edged Chisels with tang handles, we are proud to offer the socket-style chisels from Narex's same line, drop forged from high quality chromium-vanadium steel. The blades are carefully heat treated to a final hardness of 58-60 Rc, providing an extremely tough and durable steel that will hold up to years of hard wear. Care is given with the factory's finish-grinding of surfaces, so your initial conditioning of the chisels back and bevel will take very little time to complete. The chisel's side bevels along the blade slope down to an ultra-thin edge profile, allowing the chisel to reach into tight areas like the corners of dovetail sockets.

Fitted to the blades are elegantly shaped European ash handles. Finished clear with boiled linseed oil and shellac, the nuanced beauty of the wood grain remains fully visible. The handles measure 1-1/4" at their largest diameter and are 4-9/16" in length measured from the shoulder. Both a joy to the eye and the hand, the smoothly turned and polished ash handles nestle comfortably into the grip. Widths shown are actual imperial dimensions, not metric equivalents.

Set of four includes 1/4", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" chisels.
